Words Women Use and What They Really Mean:

  • Fine - This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use “fine” to describe how a woman looks - this will cause you to have one of those arguments.
  • Five Minutes - This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it’s an even trade.
  • Nothing - This means “something”, and you should be on your toes. “Nothing” usually signifies an argument that will last “Five Minutes” and end with “Fine”.
  • Go Ahead - At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble. Don't do it.
  • Go Ahead (With Raised Eyebrows) - This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over “Nothing” and will end with the word “Fine”.
  • Go Ahead (Neutral Expression) - This means “I give up” or “do what you want because I don’t care” You will get a “Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead” in just a few minutes, followed by “Nothing” and “Fine” and she will talk to you in about “Five Minutes” when she cools off.
  • Loud Sigh - This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A “Loud Sigh” means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over “Nothing”.
  • Soft Sigh - Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. “Soft Sighs” mean that she is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.
  • That’s Okay - This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. “That’s Okay” means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. “That’s Okay” is often used with the word “Fine” and in conjunction with a “Raised Eyebrow”.
  • Please Do - This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn’t get a “That’s Okay”.
  • Thanks - A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say you’re welcome.

  • Thanks A Lot - This is much different from “Thanks.” A woman will say, “Thanks A Lot” when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the “Loud Sigh.” Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the “Loud Sigh,” as she will only tell you “Nothing”

i admit i've used it all ><
ohwell. i am a woman

i have to admit though sometimes i don't mind the crusher bcus it's kind of the equivalent to a bear hug so i would imagine it to be kinda comfy until you can't breathe.

Hmm

I don't write in this enough .. but I still use my xanga so I keep forgetting about this one. What can I say in this blog that I don't say in my other one? Precisely. And why do I need two different blogs that talk about the same thing to nobody but myself?

more later! .. maybe.

p.s. if you can't tell my obsession with joseph-gordon levitt has not yet faded (:

when did Joseph Gordon-Levitt grow up?

his GQ issue with claudia schiffer

Sexy isn't he? I remember him playing a teenage geek in 10 things I hate about you. He's defintely grown over the years, doing movies like stop-loss and the lookout (both pretty good movies). He will also be in 500 days of summer starring alongside Zooey Deschanel. It should be a good film considering both of them are quirky and sexy actors.

Sometimes I think about my future.

I ponder about how it is that I'm still stuck here in the same place I was since I was ten years old. I thought maybe things would change as I got older, making that transition from a child to an adult, and things did change.. in it's own way. I guess since I didn't feel these changes personally, I didn't think they happened. And as times passes I wonder why everyone else has adpated to their surroundings except me. I started to think there was something wrong with me for wanting more than I have. Everyone's like that, we take it all for granted. Then I begin to realize that I just can't do it. Everyone has settled in and become too adjusted, but maybe I'm just not yet ready to believe that this is all there is.

"It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realize what’s changed, is you."

I think this is the kind of secret love every girl wants. We are hardened by reality and the choices we make, but this kind of unconditional and timeless love will always speak to us in a way no one can ever imagine.

Sometimes

when I read a book I imagine if I were a character in those situations and it makes me feel like for a moment, that part of the story is mine. With a really hyped-up book (twilight, harry potter, etc) though, you do tend to wonder how many other people in the world have also partaken in possibly the same circumstances as you. Fortuantely, the "magical" thing about books and reading is you can make it whatever you want to be and it can take you wherever you want to go. It speaks to you and makes you feel like it's yours. It doesn't even matter if a million other people have felt the exact same way. And if you can share in the experience with someone else, why not? If anything, that's how you know a book is truly a good read.

well apparently its samuel morse's birthday.

Today I overslept and didn't go to my IBM301 class. Fortunately, I finished my current events last week and I've already presented so I'm sure I didn't miss much. Hopefully! The following weeks seem full of little things that are important but easy to overlook so I'll list them here:

April 29th = Death Cab for Cutie show

April 30th = Nessie's birthday

May 1st = buy tickets for EH, Presentation for IBM301 today

May 8th = Star Trek comes out

May 10th = Sally's birthday

May 13th = register for summer school at Mt Sac.

May 14th = Apply for free skin cancer screening in Sept

May 15th = LIT202 presentation and video

May 16th = Epik High and Far East Movement show at House of Blues

May 20th = Request updates for Transcript at Cal Poly

May 22th = Richard's Birthday

Man, looking at it all listed out like that makes me feel busier than I really am. Yesterday I invited some friends to watch Walled In with me and it has come to my realization how tiny my home is. Either that or an excess of people came. The movie was very .. weird. It was about this girl who demolishes buildings as a part of a family business. And she lives at this building where a bunch of mysterious disapperances were happening. Also, the archiect who built the building followed ancient Egyptian's ways to fill his buildings with memories hoping it would keep the building intact forever. He would sacrifice humans by "walling" them in cement that would dry into concrete. Then there was a crazy boy that fell in love with the demolition girl and there were lots of twists in the plot, making the movie very weird. The boy plays a larger part than I am explaining but in the end, I've came to conclude that it was a tragic love story hidden in the form of a scary/thriler movie. My sister thinks the boy in the movie is cute but I can't get over his creepy perverted-ness. He is played by Cameron Bright who has been in a series of movies including: The Butterfly Effect, Ultraviolet, X-men, Juno, and is rumored to be in the 2nd movie of the Twilight Series. And the girl is played by Mishca Barton. Watch it! Btw, isn't it cute that he was in Juno and X-men and Ellen Page was also in Juno and X-men? hehe, just a sidenote. I think it's cute when actors and actresses play in different movies together. You see both their versatility in the movies and with each other. Alright well, the weekend was pretty uneventful. I wanted to watch Obsessed but it was sold out so I watched Fighting which had a very linear storyline and was way too slow-paced for a movie like that. Waste of my money! But I watched a little of Earth which is so cute! I thought it would be boring but it's actually really interesting and it makes you cry and laugh (: Okay enough about movies.

P.S. I bought a skirt for 5 dollars! It's suppose to be high waisted so I want to get a tanktop to wear underneath but I want it to be sheer. I want to go to H&M or American Apparel and find one of their very breathable light cotton tanks. Because you know, it's summer I don't want to die. But yeah, my friend is having a cocktail party soon so I figure I'll just wear that! Here's a pictorial: as you can see it flares a bit, which I like. The skirt in general isn't really something I love entirely but I bought it because it was only 5 dollars.

high

epik high.
AND FM(far east movement) are having a tour together and they have a show sometime early in may at the house of blues! You guys should all go tickets are about 30 bucks but that's not tooo bad don't you think? It's epik high! Sure I do not understand their lyrics but I remember jumping around to one of their songs when I was tipsy good times. I am currently perioding and it makes me sad because I have my step aerobics class again today, all that running and moving, I don't like. And on thursdays we work out our arms with these arm bands and my teacher is like an effing monster she makes us do ridiculous things that I can't do because my arms are too weak and jiggly. My mom thinks I hunch too much so I'm trying to work on my posture more now. I realize I look a lot taller when I stand straight. So yesterday, I was listening to MGMT - kids in the car on the way to school, do you guys know how long that song is? It's almost six minutes I was speeding because I was late and I got within the vicinity of my school when the song ended. That's terribly long, but I still like the song (:

P.S. I watched Charlie Bartlet today and it was so funny!
